Terms & Policies
Terms of Service & Policies
The rules of engagement and the guidelines that keep CoNNecT safe, fair, and useful for everyone.
Last updated: October 2026
Acceptance of Terms
- By creating an account or using CoNNecT, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, along with all applicable laws and regulations.
- If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the platform.
- We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of CoNNecT after changes are published means you accept the revised terms.
Community Guidelines
- CoNNecT is built on trust and local connection. Treat every member with respect — whether you're hiring a provider, bidding on a job, or buying from a neighbour.
- Be honest in your listings, bids, profile details, and reviews. Misrepresenting services, items, or credentials harms the community and may result in account suspension.
- Keep interactions and payments on the platform. Taking deals offline bypasses our protections and makes disputes harder to resolve.
- Report content that breaks these guidelines using the Report button on listings, requests, and deals.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Seekers can post service requests, review bids, award jobs, hire providers directly, and rate providers on completion.
- Providers can list their services, bid on requests, communicate with seekers, and build a reputation through ratings.
- Investors and entrepreneurs can post business deals and respond to inquiries through the platform.
- Advertisers can submit advertisements, which are reviewed and approved by our team before they appear.
- Every user is responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content they post.
Gig Verification & Identity Documents
- All service providers must submit a valid identity document — a national ID, driver's licence, birth certificate, or company registration — before their gig can be verified.
- Identity documents are stored privately. They are never shown on your public gig page and are visible only to the CoNNecT review team.
- Submitting a new or updated document returns your gig to pending review. Verification is confirmed by our team, never automatically.
- Misrepresenting your identity or submitting a document that is not your own is a serious breach of these terms and will result in removal.
Subscriptions & Payments
- CoNNecT offers two subscription periods: Six Month and Yearly. Current pricing is shown on the Subscription Plans page.
- New gigs begin with a free 2-month trial from the date the gig is approved. Business deal and advertisement plans activate for the period you purchase.
- One subscription covers one gig. Each gig you open is subscribed and paid for separately, and a gig with an expired subscription is hidden from public view.
- Payment can be settled by EFT, PayPal, E-Wallet, Blue Wallet, Easy Wallet, or Pay to Cell. Where an advance payment is required, you upload proof of payment and our team verifies it before your post goes live.
- Subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law, and unused trial days are not carried over.
- We may change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Prohibited Activities
- Posting illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or counterfeit goods and services.
- Creating multiple accounts to manipulate bids, listings, ratings, or reviews.
- Spamming, sending unsolicited messages, or harassing other users.
- Attempting to access another user's account, or circumventing platform security or verification.
- Sharing another user's personal contact information without their consent.
- Listing market items without genuine proof of ownership, or misrepresenting an item's condition or origin.
Platform Limitations
- CoNNecT is a connection platform. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services, items, or deals arranged through the platform.
- We are not a party to any agreement between users and are not liable for outcomes arising from those arrangements.
- Disputes should first be raised between the users involved. You can open a dispute from the Dispute Resolution page, and we may mediate, but we are not obligated to do so.
Account Suspension & Termination
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
- Banned users may not create new accounts. Attempts to evade a ban will result in permanent removal.
- You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page.
- After termination, ratings and reviews may remain visible as part of the community record.
